Detention Center Canteen Service
Each inmate entering the facility population is issued one uniform (shirt, pants, underwear), a hygiene starter kit (soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, comb), and one set of linens. Additional and replacement hygiene items may be purchased from the canteen.
Canteen Service is provided by Swanson Services Corp. based in Columbia, SC. All canteen items are received on Tuesday morning. Inmates may order no more than $25 per week. Hygiene product requests are processed before other items are filled.
An account is set up for each inmate at the time of incarceration. All canteen service transactions will be billed against this account. Money for inmates may be left at the front office of the Detention Center Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Indigents are provided hygiene items upon request.
