Vehicle of missing person found in Broad River

Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office located what they believed to be a vehicle underwater while searching the the Big Bay Area of Broad River, located just above Gaston Shoals Dam in Gaffney.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Dive Team responded to the location and confirmed that it was a vehicle. The vehicle was removed at approximately 6:00 PM and the vehicle was confirmed to be a 2000 Ford Taurus belonging to Verlisha Littlejohn.

The car was approximately 30 feet from the bank in 15 feet of water.
