Firearms Safety Class to be held

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office will again teach a Firearm Safety Course for women.

This course will involve a two hour class taught by a Certified Firearms Instructor from the Sheriff's Office. It will cover handgun safety and firing range rules.

Then students will travel to the range to fire handguns furnished by the Sheriff's Office. The ammunition will also be provided by the Sheriff's Office.

The first class will be held on April 22, 2006 with a rain date of May 6, 2006. The class will begin at 8:00 AM and finish at 1:00 PM.

The class is open to women 18 years of age and older. All safety equipment will be furnished by the Sheriff's Office.

The fee for this class is $10.00 to cover the cost of targets and ammunition.
