Man charged with multiple burglaries

Deputies and detectives with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have charged one subject with five burglaries dating back to April 4, 2008 through April 28, 2008.

Marcus Dewayne Carson, age 30, of 585 Hugh St, Spartanburg S.C. has been charged with the burglaries after being caught breaking into the 96 OutPost store on April 28 near I-85.

All the burglaries in Cherokee County were business along the Interstate which include Fatz Cafe, Moss Mini Mart, J's Express, Silver Dollar, Arsenal, and 96 OutPost.

Carson has also committed burglaries in Union County, Union City, Spartanburg County, Spartanburg City, Pacolet City, Clover City, and Kings Mountain N.C.

Carson is in the Cherokee County Detention Center with no bond at this time.
