Two persons arrested after three month investigation


On August 5, 2004 at approximately 9:00am, Agents with the Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Unit, Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, and Agents from the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms executed a Search Warrant at the residence of Ralph Allen Glenn located at 1177 Dravo Road, near Blacksburg, SC.


This Search Warrant was the result of a three month long joint investigation, conducted by the Cherokee County Metro Narcotic Unit and the BATF, into illegal drug trafficking and firearms violations.


During the execution of the search warrant, Agents seized numerous weapons, along with ammunition, as well as approximately two and a half ounces of crystal methamphetamine ("ice"), a schedule II controlled substance with a street value of approximately $10,500, and several ounces of green plant material believed to be marijuana with a street value of approximately $400. In addition, Agents seized $3,300 cash believed to be proceeds of the illegal drug trade.


Arrested at or near the scene were Ralph Allen Glenn, 50, and his wife Imogene White Glenn, 45, both of the address.


Ralph Allen Glenn is charged with numerous federal firearms violations as well as trafficking methamphetamines, a schedule II controlled substance, more than 28 grams, less than 100 grams, and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, a schedule I controlled substance.


Imogene White Glenn is currently charged with possession of marijuana, a schedule I controlled substance, with additional charges pending.


Special Agent Jeff Gaines of the BATF will make charges involving the weapons violations and Special Agent Billy Odom of the Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Unit will charge both subjects with the narcotic violations.
