Subject charged for Burglary after traffic stop

Detectives with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have charged Billy Ray Caldwell with six counts of Burglary after a traffic stop.

Detective Harvey Owens has charged Caldwell with the following burglaries on homes listed below:

11-01-2006 Swofford Ridge Road
11-22-2006 Battleground Road
11-28-2006 Old Post Road
11-30-2006 Old Metal Road
11-30-2006 Cannons Campground Road
12-03-2006 Green River Road

Caldwell, age 26, resides at 108 Alanda Drive in Gaffney. Caldwell is currently in the Spartanburg County Detention Center where he has been charged with burglaries in Spartanburg also.
