Sheriff's Office receives 21 mobile video camera systems

The Sheriff's Office has received 21 mobile video camera systems to be installed in marked patrol vehicles. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety distributed the cameras to the law enforcement agencies with the highest volume of DUI activity. The cameras will be installed and maintained by SCDPS.

Sheriff Blanton said "The equipment will help the deputy make better court cases and protect him or her from false accusations. These cameras will also protect the motoring public from over-aggressive deputies and unprofessional conduct. "
